Redesigned Site and Book Review

Yesterday I was tired of working on, well, work stuff, so I decided to redesign my personal website. I decided to take the easy way out, and tryout my iWeb software from Apple. The program is so cool because any idiot, as I've proven today, can make a website by just typing in text and dragging and dropping media wherever I want.

The site also includes my life list and reading list along with reviews.

iWeb '08 is a fun little program that makes creating websites easy and hassle free. Apple has designed themes, or templates, and all you have to do is fill in the blanks, add photos, video, or sound, then publish. I wish every website were that simple. You can also create a site from scratch, and '08 gives the option of putting in your own HTML if you like.

One of the cooler features - of which I haven't used yet - is the photo album pages. You can just drag an album from iPhoto directly into iWeb, and it displays the pictures nicely on a web page where visitors can play a slideshow as well as download their favorites.

Basically, it is Apple's way to continually show the world how easy it is for anyone to have identity on the internet.

I also posted my first book review - Better: A Surgeon's Notes on Performance by Atul Gawande.

I've finished 17 books this year already, but have only written one review. My goal is to write a complete review for every book I have read and do read throughout 2008, and 48 is my magic number. I'll post here each time I write one over there.
